Book Review #2 - Red Queen / Victoria Aveyard

This will be a quick and brief update of a review as I didn’t enjoy the book so don’t have much to discuss. So two weeks ago, James and I went shopping in Guildford and of course we visited Waterstones. The book Red queen, caught my eye. I was placed in the teen fiction section and I came across when I was looking for another book (the other selection series book – although they didn’t have the following on that I was currently reading) so instead I opted for the red queen series. I saw that they had the other two, which I believe is Glass Sword and King’s Cage. So I decided to get the first one only has I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the series. Which in a result I am glad I did because I didn’t enjoy it at all.

I have read some reviews before I purchased the book and I gathered that it would follow the same scenario of The Hunger Games and divergent series. However, I had hoped that it would have some unique aspect to it. Without giving spoilers away, the difference to it are they have a division of silvers and reds. The silvers are wealthy and have some sort of power. Then the reds are lower casts. Until we meet the main character Mare, she reveals to the royalty of Silvers that she has a power to control lightning and then she is told to have a new life as a silver.

I was intrigued by the reviews and blurb of this book however when I started reading it, I found it took a while to get into. I got about half way when things started to happen and I still found it not very interesting to say the least. I don’t like criticising books, as I respect the hard work that’s gone into it, so I am not saying don’t read it etc.

Overall I liked the idea of the concept of this book and its features but I felt disappointed when I got into the book because it wasn’t what I had expected and took me some motivation to get me finish the book.

Book Review #1 The Selection Series Trilogy

THE SELECTION SERIES – (includes first 3 books, the selection; the elite; the one) NO SPOILERS!



Last week I finished reading the trilogy of the selection series written by the amazing Keira Cass. There are more books in the series along with extra novellas which I have yet to read, but I thought I’d focus on the first three books as this looks at the story of America singer. First impressions, the characters are names are odd, took me a while to get used to them, usually it doesn’t bother me but all I did was get me a while to grow with the character. These books wound me up crazy, the constant love triangle scenario and then little surprises which just pushed knowing the ending further was getting irritating, though surprisingly it got me reading chapter after chapter.

Firstly, the main character America Singer, I liked her at the beginning, her secret relationship with aspen and how she had plans to run away and get married was interesting along with the selection competition, then when she got selected as one of the thirty-five girls in running to be princess just obviously interfered with the situation.

Aspen at this point of the story was annoying, he was stubborn and selfish. He proven to America that he loved her but insisted that she applied for the selection knowing that he had a chance to lose her. However, he ended up with a happy ending which was obvious when he distanced himself further on in the book.

My favourite character was actually Celeste. This is because she was the only one that didn’t annoy me. She was feisty and stubborn, which reminded me of myself in a good way. But In the end she realised her faults and made up for them. Just I am disappointed what happened in the end and how in the end it seemed rushed.

Then lastly there’s Maxon, who is straight up my favourite character in the novel. He is so genuine, down to earth and caring, who I admire his respect to America and the other girls within the competition. I really grew to connect with him and really felt emotional when bad things happened to him. I actually said to my boyfriend ‘be more like maxon’ because I got so attached to him that I wanted him to be real. Which is why I am looking forward for this to becoming a film so I can finally put a face to him.

I’ve always found it interesting as I’m reading these books, I visually picture each scene in my head and how the characters look, which I know now that I got high expectations for the film. Especially with the casting for characters. Although Cass has created America to have long red hair, I just can’t picture that with prince Maxon.

All in all, I’m looking forward to reading the next books I the series, and know more about the different perspectives on other characters, such as Marlee, Lucy, Queen Amberly and of course the King. This is because we met the characters but we didn’t get an in depth on their views and opinions on the rebels and competition etc.

I’ve gotten back into reading and I have gotten clued to goodreads which although I review the books I read on there, I wanted to keep a log of it to easily reflect on later, so I thought I may aswell put it on my blog. Fashion Inspiration Book

The other day I was clearing out my room and I came across some old magazine posters and cut outs that I had used when studying fashion photography at College; I didn't want to throw them away as they were good quality and the images were some of my favourites, so I went onto Pinterest to browse for ideas that I could make some use for them. I came across a fashion moodboard that I could collage the images together, however I had no where in my room to place it, as well as my room was about to be redecorated so it wouldn't be convenient. I then decided to keep with the same concept, however produce it into a book. That day I took a trip to HobbyCraft and purchased an A4 black ringbinder sketchbook. Below is a series of images that demonstrate the pages I have produced. 

I have catogorized each page to visualize a theme, for example the 4 pages above show pages about, coats, autumnal clothing, vintage and pastel colours. I have also focused on what I personally like most; throughout the book there is a ocurring theme of vintage and girly aspects of fashion as well as of my favourite models such as Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger.  

I am really pleased with the outcome of each pages and that its really easy to set up whenever or to grab a magazine and cut out my favourite inspirations. Particularly the collage of pages above, HobbyCraft HQ instagram pages have regrammed my picture with a comment that they really loved it! Which as really encouraged me to carry on, even though its not for a college project. Check out hobbycraft's instagram Here

Autumnal Loves - Polyvore

Firstly, to introduce this post with a new website I have found, called 'Polyvore'. This is a website that enables you to create moodboards/collage of anything, ranging from fashion, beauty and art. I though this would be a creative way in showing this blogpost of listing my top loves of autumn. My most recent sets are the autumnal loves (below) and my rose gold set. If you're interested to see others that i have made and will soon make more, the link for my profile will be at the end of this blog post.  

So September is finally here and i cannot be any more happier, it also means its even more closer to Christmas! I personally love the autumnal season, as I love the cozy evenings with oversized jumpers and the fluffy blankets, then to top of the christmas movie marathons; its never to early for christmas movies!. With the polyvore website, I created a collage of my top 5 things I love most about autumn. 

1. The first being shirts; I love cotton shirts, both plaid and plain, in all colours, as they are so comfortable and makes it look like you've put alot of effort in planning your outfit! 

2. Military boots; I live in my boots, even in he summer because I love them so much, but particularly in autumn I think they look great, prior with the shirts. 

3. Red/dark lipsticks; I've recently got into darker shades of lipsticks, as I found I couldnt pull them of with braces and having such a pale complexion, but now with darker hair and being brace free, I have found shades that suit me, one of which is one of the Revlons super lustrous lipsticks.

4. Candles; Every scent of candles I love, ranging from apple spice, cinnamon and pumpkin, purely because it reminds me of Christmas.

5. Lastly is halloween, I dont go trick or treating or celebrate the season too much, but I enjoy watching horror films around this time and going to Tulleys Farm Shocktober.

Ginger and Pecan Biscuits

I purchased a crohns diet guide from amazon (link below) and was desperate to try out some recipes. So this weekend we tried out the ginger quinoa biscuits, however we replaced the quinoa with plain flour. We also added dry pecan nuts on top to give more taste to them, however this can be whatever you prefer, such as walnuts, hazelnuts etc. After baking these, next time I will consider adding an orange water icing to drizzle on top to balance out the spice and sweet flavours. Below is the ingredients needed to make these as well as the method that is in the book. 

You will need:
Plain/quinoa flour
Ground Ginger
Bicarbonate of Soda
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Cloves
Fine Sea Salt
Brown sugar
Unsalted Butter
1 Egg

Method:

Preheat oven at 180'c

Gently mix together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon, cloves and ginger together, ensuring everything is mixed well.

In another bowl whisk the sugar and egg, to create a smooth thick mixture.

Use a wooden spoon to mix in the flour mixture until well blended.

Leave to chill in the fridge for an hour.

Divide mixture into thirty 1 inch sized balls onto a baking tray. At this stage you can add on any toppings, such as dried fruit or nut.

Bake in the oven for 9-12, until the biscuits are golden brown. 

Crohns Disease Diet Guide Book

Vanilla and Raspberry Cupcakes

I had a load of raspberries leftover from the white chocolate and raspberry blondies, so I decided to do a quick bake to use them up. I came up with simple vanilla cupcakes with vanilla and raspberry icing. They look so summer with brightly cupcake cases and a take on strawberry and cream.

You will need:

4oz Caster Sugar

4oz Self raising flour

1tsp Baking Powder

4oz Margarine 

2 Eggs 

1tsp Vanilla Extract

Topping- 

Buttercream icing

Raspberries

Method:

Weigh our dry ingredients and mix together well. 

Add in margarine and egg, to create a pale yellow smooth mixture.

At this stage add in a drop of vanilla extract.

Line a cupcake tin with decorative summery cupcake cases and fill over half the case with the mixture.

Bake for 15-20 mins, until golden brown and springy. 

Once cooled on a cooling rack, apply the buttercream icing and decorate to your preference.

White Chocolate and Raspberry Blondies

You will need:

1 teaspoon baking powder 

250g White chocolate 

250g Raspberries

6ozs Caster sugar

4ozs Butter

6ozs Flour

3 eggs

Method:

Preheat oven to 180'c and line a 18 x 27 inch baking tin. 

Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl over simmering pan of water.

In another bowl whisk together the butter, eggs and caster sugar to create a creamy thick consistency. 

Once the butter and chocolate has melted, fold gently into the butter and caster sugar mix.

Also add in the flour and further fold, to create a yellow paste. 

Place the raspberries evenly on top.

Pour into the baking tin and cook for 30-35 mins. 

Once cooled on a drying rack, melt extra white chocolate and drizzled on top of them. Cut into 12 equal squares. 

CD- Follow up appointment

Today I had a follow up appointment with the surgeon since my surgery, this was just a confirmation that I have crohns disease as well as future plans. I am now being referred to see a gastroenterologist, who will discuss the types of medication I will need for this life long disease, as well as iron and b12 vitamins. As they have taken out the section that your body naturally absorbs b12, I have been taking b12 supplements. Though from now on, I am to have a B12 injections every 3 months. As for my iron levels; I’ve also been anemic, I have to either take iron supplements or to take iron foods, such as beef, broccoli etc, however beef is one of the foods I can’t eat, which makes it difficult.

The most important thing I learnt from the appointment, was  that having the one meal that is under the category of not recommended foods, will not do internal damage, however will mean I will suffer the consequences, e.g. stomach cramps. So for a barbeque which is happening next week, I can have the odd burger, which is nice as I don’t feel so left out. Apparently there’s a chance in years to come that I may need more surgery caused from the immune system and how it works (some science technical stuff), though this could be 10 years or more. Right now I have a positive mind with how everything is going and hopefully it stays on track and is managed relatively well.

I have also purchased a crohns recipe book as I’m finding new vegetables and ways to incorporate them. However I’m more into baking, than savoury cooking, therefore for my next blog post I will be showing my recipe for white chocolate and raspberry brownies.

Crohns Disease

Hey!

This is going to be a different post; not focusing on fashion and beauty, however on health and my personal experience. Over 2 months ago and in the space of a week  I had gone through major abdominal surgery and had spent a week in hospital; what was originally suspected as appendicitis, turned out to be Crohns disease. It took a while for me to understand what had actually happened and the cause of it, but after alot of explaining I now understand alot more about it. I have decided to blog about it, to inform others, as it quite unknown and after reading forums and other people with crohns, found  it interesting to learn about others experiences. 

Crohns disease is a chronic inflammatory disease thats occurs in the iluem (small) and colon (large) intestines. Without getting too descriptive as it can be abit 'bluergh', I've had the surgery where they've removed the part of inflammed section.  Apparently there isn't a complete cure for crohns, however it can be managed through diet and medication. I have spent hours reading through websites, blogs, forums, books, discovering new diets and talking to people who have the same. I have had to cut out alot of the food that I used to eat on a daily basis and basically go through a trial and error process in finding out whats foods effect me. So far I have found some fruits, chocolate, raw vegtables, frieds foods and spicy foods are the ones that have effected me. 

Blogger 'Deliciously Ella' has inspired me to try out new healthy dishes/recipes which are gluten free, dairy free and meat free. So from now on, I have decided to do similar and blog about my own recipes and how they turn out (hopefully tasty) as well as using this blog as a diary entry of each stage and getting through it. I have already planned out to try out an alternative to spaghetti bologenese!

Scrapbooking

I've recently got into scrapbooking, as I have now finished my time at college. I have no courseworks or revision work to focus on, therefore I now have time for myself. I've always liked being creative and making books, so I decided to make an on-going scrapbook, capturing events that I want to keep as memories. Below I have listed the essential equipment needed as well as displaying pages that are in my scrapbook to show my theme and layout. 

The scrapbook  is a 12 x 12 square size book available from Hobbycraft online and instore. They have a choice between white, black, red, blue and green in this size book, as well as a smaller version of a 6 x 6. They also provide background paper; I've been using the Bohemian 12 x 12 paper which is a country and floral theme. However they also offer a range of different patterns and themes. For the cover, I decided to simply opt for stickers which displayed my name. I used the gold metallic heart stickers outlined with a silver metallic pen . However you can accessorize it to your personal preference with buttons, assorted shapes or ribbon. Below I have put together a series of three images, displaying a few of my favourite pages, ranging from subtle simple designs to loud and vivid. 

Primark Haul - March 2015

Yes, it is time, for the long awaited 'Primark haul'. For some odd reason, I have never uploaded a haul focusing on my Primark purchases, however I went shopping today and picked up some basic tops which I thought would be nice to share.

Now that spring is approaching and the sun has finally decided to shine, I realized I didn't own many t-shirts. So when i went shopping, i was particularly looking for basic t-shirts. Primark had the one stand, selling between £2 - 5, so  I thought that this was a bargain. I picked up a black t-shirt with a pink and purple floral pattern. Which i though would be good for spring, as following the floral trend. However I also opted for a less spring look, with a black and white snake skin effect t-shirt. I picked these tops as I thought they would go with more of my clothes, however I wish I had picked more up as the quality and comfort is unbelievably good.

Hello! Long time no..writing?

I know its been over 6 months since my last blog post (oops), but I've gone back being more committed and after catching up with stressful college works and finally get my life on track, I'm continuing on posting blog posts. I've enjoyed organising posts, shooting images and writing, even if noone reads it, so decided to carry on.

Anyway, I have a collective haul from over the past weeks, which I aim to post on Monday. This will also be a bit more interesting and exciting. So definitely stay tuned!

Arundel Castle

As it was my mothers birthday yesterday, we decided to make the most of the British summer and go out. We love our history and visiting castles, so we took a drive to Arundel to visit 'Arundel Castle'. This is also the castle where they filmed 'The Young Victoria', which is one of my many favourite films.

This is one of the sides of the castle (I'm not sure whether this is the front or not). This to me looks unreal and does not look like i'm in England, I mean there is no cloud in the sky! They also held a cute little market that set you in the medieval times, which had events such as cooking, clothing and jousting, which was amazing, because I become a geek when it comes to this sort of stuff!

We also visited the chapel, which was right by the castle and gardens. Although it was amazing and stunning with the stained glass works and woodwork, yes I admit I love that stuff, it was creepy.

The next few photos are from the gardens, which were so peaceful and calming, besides the scorching hot weather.

This kind of day out, is also suitable for younger children, as they held so many activities for them and still keeping it educational. Overall one of the best days so far of summer. Next on my list is to visit Kensington Palace, so stay tuned for a post on that!

Top 5 Summer Reads

I have always enjoyed talking and sharing about my favourite books and I thought this was be the perfect time to as it is now holiday season! I find that I practically go through my entire book collection. Below I have managed to select 5 of my favourite books to suggest and recommend some awesome reads perfect for summer. 

1. Hester Browne - The Vintage Girl 

This book is great if you like adventure and investigation stories. This story focuses on a young women who ventures to a house in Scotland belonged to her heritage. This book allows you to follow her journey in investigating the secrets of her past family members and soon discover a 

2. John Green - The Fault In Our Stars

A romantic young adult novel with comedic tone and language. This book has been the rave for months, along with one of the best authors, 'John Green'. The success and popularity of this book has lead to becoming a major motion picture. It is the perspective of a young teenage girl, Hazel, who suffers from cancer, but leads to her meeting her love, Augustus. This book had me both crying and laughing, honestly the only book that I have felt quite emotional about. I am quite put of watching the film as I expect such high expectations from the book, but I will probably end up watching it either way. 

3. Rainbow Rowell - Eleanor & Park

This book is very similar to TFIOS, with the original love story of a teenage couple, however the thing that makes this story unique is the differences and how the characters are created. The best thing about a book is watching the character progress and develop, especially for a teenage character, which this book definitely succeeds.

A Trip to New York City

The last week I have had the opportunity to go and visit one of the most famous cities; New York. Although it was an educational trip with the college, it literally felt like any ordinary holiday. From going on boat rides, museums, Brooklyn bridge, walking around central park and of course shopping in Times Square. I have met some amazing people, which felt like we were a huge family. Through our experiences with our lost luggage and cancelled flights, they were a few ups and downs, but everyone supported each other. As I have so many items and adventures to share with you, I have decided to break this topic into three blog posts, otherwise this will be a long essay. 

On The first day was a walk through Times Square to get to the sea for a boat ride to see the island where the Statue of Liberty is placed. Just walking through New York is amazing, there is something going on at every angle. We all witnessed to buses crash right in front of us which made all the windows to smash, something you don't see often in the UK.

One of the best visits we went was to Times Square. The atmosphere is so friendly besides how busy it is. The best shop we went to was Toys R Us, it was literally heaven, with three floors full of toys. 

Above was a panoramic view of Central Park. It is unbelievable how big it really is; we ended up walking the full length of the park to eat lunch, although it was tiring, it was definitely worthwhile.

 We also walked over one of the worlds famous bridges 'Brooklyn Bridge' which although doesn't look as attractive as expected, it sure had the best views of sea and skyscrapers. As you can tell by now, this trip included alot of walking, which resulted to alot of us with bruised, swollen feet.

Lastly, was my all time favourite adventure, which was to the top of the rock, which basically gave you the full scale of how big New York is. You could see for miles, full of buildings. This was taken around 8:00 pm, just as the sun was setting. It was peaceful and calming, one of the best views I have seen. After the sunset, gradual lights of buildings lit up, which against the sunset was perfect. Overall the perfect end to the trip. 

Makeup Monday #4 - Barry M Spring Collection

Barry M is a popular drugstore nail polish brand which have many unique products including, Gelly, matte, nail effect and the makeup essentials. My personal favourite is the Gelly hi-shine line, so I was so excited to see they were bringing out three new shades for spring. The hype for spring this season is pastel colours, so the colours are pastel blue, pink and green. As seen in the picture below I only have the blue and pink to review. This is because the green was sold out when I purchased them and I haven't seen it since. 

Firstly the name of the shades are cute and adorable, matching well with the colour. I believe the green shade is called, 'Sugar apple' which I personally sounds quite high street, similar to the Essie products. Though this means they have alot to live up to. The consistency of the varnish is quite thin and sheer. I found it took about 3-4 coats to get a good strong balance of colour. Even with the amount of layers I put on as well as a clear top coat it managed to chip quite quickly. Though overall I would say the rose hip is a beautiful colour once applied. I also found the blue applied much easier than the pink and also didn't chip as much. Overall I recommend to go for the blue or either green, as they may not take as much layers/coats and are much less time consuming.

BLOG UPDATE

Hey blog readers!

I apologize for the serious lack of blog posts; I have been caught up with coursework and deadlines as well as the horrible dreaded exams, so instead of writing my posts I've been doing revision. I also found it difficult to balance out time to prepare, shoot, edit and write for each post twice a week, so I came up with the solution to upload a blog post whenever I can, but to give an aim to upload at least 4 a month, so 1 a week. However I will still be titling them 'Makeup Monday' and 'Fashion Friday', just they won't be every week. You will see alot more exciting posts to come as now the long summer holidays will give me so much time to write. As my blog is primarily beauty and fashion based, I have also decided to add in a lifestyle theme etc.so including day trips and weekends.

Makeup Monday #3 - My Perfume Collection

Firstly this perfume is possibly my favourite and most worn fragrance. As labelled it is from Next, which I think is one of many stores that stocks affordable pretty perfumes. This is the New York Eau de Parfum. It is not over powering, which makes it a really good everyday perfume. As you can tell from this image I have used this quite alot, so much that now I have just purchased my second bottle. I really recommend checking this one out, or for an alternative the London and Paris are just as good but with slightly stronger and floral scent. 

This is another favourite of mine, purely because of the sweetie scent, which reminds me of candy floss and summer. The bottle is also beautiful with the ombre effect. This perfume was from the body shop, and i say 'was' as it unfortunately is not on the line anymore. I believe this was also a summer limited edition, hence the sweet scent. As you can tell from the image I have barely used it, this is purely because i know i won't be able to purchase another, therefore saving it as long as possible. Hopefully I can find an alternative that is similar to it!

This is my most recent perfume, I have worn this only a few times because it has a strong scent to it that I like to keep for going out. This perfume is the Katy Perry, Killer Queen. I fell in love with the packaging, bottle and of course the smell. I know that this will last me for a while! I have also seen over social media, e.g Instagram, that there is going to be a new Katy Perry perfume, identical to this but in purple, called 'Oh So Shear', so that will be going on my wish list!

Fashion Friday #2 - Shoes Of The Season

These style of shoes is the bringing back of old school shoes. These replicas are also known as t-bar geek shoes. They are simply made up of the traditional black patent material, buckle and cut outs at the toe. After being on my wish list for a while, I finally found the perfect pair for me purchased from River Island. However I can't seem to find the link for these exact ones online, but I have found similar ones on Topshop which I have linked below. 

These shoes are one of  the most comfortable shoes I own/ed. The main advantage of these is that they can be worn for any look and can make an outfit look smart or cute. I wore these with a blue simple dress and they automatically transformed the outfit to a smart casual. For a cute and girly look, dressing them with either a skirt or dress would be ideal. To create an even cuter, pair them with lace frilly socks; another  fashion craze. Another advantage is that the outer sole has really good grip, linking to it being a good all-day shoe. Though because of the minimal padding on the topline and insole it may be an irritate and cause a rubbing on the feet; but from my experience this lasted for the first couple times I wore them and now they're absolutely fine. 

These types of shoes have proven they've got popular as they now have re-introduced jelly shoes. These are my main childhood shoes for me; I remember wearing them when going to the beach on holiday. New Look specifically own a complete range of different colours, which I will be of course purchasing a few of. They are a bargain as well, at only pricing at £10; Compared to the ones below which cost me £30. Though from their success in popularity I'm sure you will find a bargain in purchasing a cheaper pair and that look identical.

Makeup Monday #2 - Rimmel Eyeshadow Palettes Review

Referring back to my previous Make up Monday I focused on the bringing out of pastel colours, therefore for this blog post I have decided to write similarly on the same lines, but this time i am looking at eye shadows. This is also similarly to a classic review on them as they are all the same products just with different colours. The product which I will be reviewing is the Rimmel London Glam Eyes eye shadow palettes. 

1. This is Rimmel London's trio palette in 'Sumptuous Tourmaline'. From its appearance, you may guess that it's more suited for a winter or autumn season, however this can be used for the brighter weathers, especially with the lightest shade, being a pastel lilac colour. The pigmentation however is minimal and applies a light shimmer, therefore if you're opted more for a coloured shade, possibly the second darkest in the palette would be best to use. The darkest shade would be best used for defining the crease as this gives a strong result, or on the outer corner, replacing the use of an eyeliner, as this would give a softer look. Overall this palette would be also ideal for a night out because of it's high result of shimmer. 

2. State of Grace is possibly the best palette for this season as it ranges from blue, silver and purple which typically describes spring and summer. It also gives you a variety of combinations of eye looks as its gives you different colours which all go together. The blues can be paired together, with the lightest blue all over the lid and the darkest creating an ombre effect. Or on the other hand the blue and purple can be paired together to create a complete different look. Pretty much all these palettes have the similarity of having shimmer rather than a matte finish. This definitely shows through with the metallic silver colour which gives an awesome result from its strong pigmentation. This would work well in the inner corner, or for creating a dramatic look on the brow bone and arch. Overall if you like to experiment with colours and creating different looks, this palette would be great in achieving them. 

3. Sapphire Moonstone is actually the least one I have used, predominantly as I have purchased it not that long ago. Although from it's appearance I know I will make use of it. Particularly with it's flesh colour, which is a great everyday and wearable colour. The navy blue again is suited more for the winter and autumn season however could be worn in a way to suit the lighter seasons. I intend to use the black shadow as either the crease or on the outer corner. Although from it's shimmer finish again, I would personally focus on using this on a night out. 

4. Beauty Spells is similar to State of Grace, with its quad style and the ranges of colours it offers. It also used the same metallic silver colour which is very versatile. It does however offer a dusky pink and a lilac color, alike in Sumptuous Tourmaline. From the image, it presents that I have currently hit pan on the black shade in the palette. I use this for defining the crease and occasionally under the lash line, because I prefer to create a softer look. To summarize, if you are possibly new to trying out eye shadows, this palette would be relevant to you and worth trying, as the lightest colours give a soft toned outcome, and can be developed in creating a bolder look. 

5. Orion is my favourite palette from this collection as well as in general of all eye shadow's. This is also my second purchase, as I hit pan on all the shades from my previous one and eventually couldn't get anything from it. The three colours are so wearable, although from its shimmery finish, it appears very lightly. They all give great pigmentation, literally just with one coat, it gives an amazing colour. I wear this all day and it stays there all day, I also don't experience any fall out either during the application or throughout the day, which equals to a convenient advantage. Overall this is personally the best palette to go for if you're looking for a simple natural look and again can be worked with to create an evening look. 

These palettes all cost at £6.99. However both Boots and Superdrug offer these eye shadow's to be sold singularly, which cost at £4.49.
